Frances Murchison

My love of yoga stems from the ancient truth that our breath is the vehicle for life and an avenue for the spirit.  Thus with each inhale and exhale, we connect with Spirit that resides in each one of us.

I stepped onto the mat over 10 years ago for the physical benefits: strength, flexibility, and endurance.  Years of running and cardio were creating

havoc with my body and mind. I had no idea that I would stay on my mat for the mental and spiritual benefits of mindfulness, self - acceptance, and compassion.

For me, my practice and teaching are about being in the moment.  Breathing. Embracing my imperfection.  Accepting all the ways my life and body haven't turned out as I planned. Compassion for the ways things keep falling apart.  It's less about fixing things and more about learning to be present for exactly what is.

I am so grateful to Daren Friesen of Moksha Yoga Center, for teaching me the classical traditions of asana and pranayama.

In addition to being a Certified Yoga Instructor, I am holistic health coach, supporting clients to lead intentional, whole, and healthy lives.  When we are whole, we have so much to offer the world.  Nothing more and nothing less than our authentic selves.
